The Senior Hospital Management Team is responsible for all operational and medical matters. This includes staffing and financial affairs, planning of medical care services, corporate management, and quality assurance in the fields of medical and nursing care.

Clinical Center Management
The Medical Director is elected representative of the clinics of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He or she oversees patient care throughout all the clinics. The Medical Director is the contact person for questions and concerns regarding satisfaction from patients and their referring physicians- in particular, in terms of quality, organisation, and coordination of care. As a member of the Hospital Management, he or she provides the Board of Directors with medical expertise in strategic and operative decision-making and is involved in the resulting implementation processes in the clinics and institutes.
Directorate of Nursing
The Nursing Director is responsible for decisions regarding fundamental principles of patient care as well as the further development of management concepts. Additional projects include the current establishment of a flexible personnel system ("Pool Management") and an analysis of the job duties within the nursing realm. Furthermore, the Nursing Director supports the Charité's central system that oversees the allocation of patient beds.
