Selection criteria for degree courses subject to nationwide entrance requirements (numerus clausus)

The option of applying directly to Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is not available. Applicants wishing to be entered into the university selection process must apply via the ‘Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (SfH)’, the body responsible for admissions to higher education. Both offers and rejections are issued by the SfH.

Should you decide to not accept your offer, there is no need to inform the university directly. Your place will then be reallocated as part of the next stage of the SfH allocation process.

Should you receive an offer before the completion of your military or alternative civilian service, you will be unable to accept this offer. However, you will be entitled to be reentered into the selection process at the end of your period of service. At that point, you will need to reapply via, providing the relevant proof of service. Please note that you will forfeit this entitlement unless your application is received by the second deadline after the end of your service.
