Prior plagiarism check of doctoral theses to be submitted after the 2017 doctoral degree regulations
You are here:
As part of a pilot project, all dissertations registered under the 2017 doctoral degree regulations will be subject to a software-based plagiarism check from 1st January, 2021. This check will take place before the thesis is submitted to the Office for Doctoral Studies and before applying for initiation of the doctoral examination procedure. The project aims to prevent future proceedings due to scientific misconduct in the form of plagiarism and to improve the quality of dissertations at Charité.
The information provided under the link "Procedure for prior plagiarism check (PDF)" is only relevant for you if
- your doctoral project is registered under the 2017 doctoral degree regulations and
- your thesis will be submitted to the Office for Doctoral Studies on or after 1st January 2021
If your doctoral project is registered under the 2012 doctoral degree regulations, the new procedure explicitly does not apply to you.
Please follow the link "Procedure for prior plagiarism check (PDF)" to inform yourself about the details of the new procedure and make sure you allow sufficient time for the check and potential revisions.
By submitting your dissertation, you agree that your requisite technical and personal data can be captured and stored electronically for the purpose of sending the resulting report, but will not be passed on to third parties (with the exception of the Charité Office for Doctoral Studies, in rare cases).
