Partner for pioneering cooperative projects

Charité prides itself on being a reliable partner for both research organizations and private companies. Due to its enviable position as a leader in health care provision, research, and teaching, Charité is able to pioneer new forms of cooperative arrangements. One example of such an innovative partnership is the long-term cooperative agreement between Charité and the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, which includes the creation of joint professorships. Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is also involved in various forms of cooperative partnerships with companies from the health care industry, medical care providers, and biomedical companies. Charité cooperates with pharmaceutical companies in order to develop and market new medicinal products, and with technology manufacturers in order to develop new devices and therapies. In conjunction with Vivantes, Charité developed the largest hospital-based laboratory in Europe.
