For the best possible start of your medical studies at the Charité and life in Berlin, we have organised a special program called OFIS for students who come from non-German speaking countries.
Included in this program is an introductory week, which consists of different seminars that teach the important linguistic and technical skills for the first semester of medical school.
This offer from OFIS will help foreign students to smoothly transition into their studies. In the orientation week, students will be introduced to the Charité International Cooperation (ChIC) office as well as take part in workshops on how our course system is structured, how to use the Charité online portals and the contents of the first semester.
Additionally, regular German language courses will be provided in ongoing intervals. Social gatherings will also take place during the first month.
It will also be an opportunity for students to raise any concerns about life in and outside of at the Charité, for example, topics related to studies, visa requirements, support with government authorities, tips for finding an apartment as well as any personal problems.
The students will be supported throughout the year.
Please contact Angelika Cernitori for any questions you may have.
