Focused expertise and performance

Founded in 2017, the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA) brings together 10 leading European university hospitals to future-proof healthcare in Europe. University hospitals play a unique role in our healthcare systems with their responsibility for patient care, research and education. They conduct biomedical research with a direct focus on its translation into practice and are pioneers and catalysts for innovation. Through the EUHA, members aim to play an active role in shaping the future of EU healthcare systems, learning from each other to maximize patient outcomes and pooling their expertise and resources to promote excellence and quality research.

Networks and working groups

Members of the alliance work together in more than 15 networks and working groups by

  • Sharing practices and patient outcomes to improve the quality of care.
  • Creating international knowledge exchange opportunities for staff and strategic development.
  • Collaborating in research and development projects to strengthen excellence and innovation.
  • Advising policymakers on sustainable and excellent healthcare for European citizens.
