Our central switchboard numbers are as follows: Campus Benjamin Franklin 8445-0, Campus Charité Mitte and Campus Virchow-Klinikum 4505-0.
All telephone numbers listed here comprise the direct dial number for Charité and the relevant extension number. For local calls to offices/staff on Campus Benjamin
Franklin, all telephone numbers start with '8445', followed by a four-digit extension number, e.g. 8445 1234.
All Campus Virchow-Klinikum and Campus Charité Mitte telephone numbers start with '450', followed by a six-digit extension number, e.g. 450 123456.
For internal calls between different campuses, the extension numbers are used without the direct dial codes that normally precede them. The following internal dialing codes apply for calls between the different campuses:
• '98' for calls from Campus Charité Mitte and Campus Virchow-Klinikum to Campus Benjamin Franklin
•'99' for calls from Campus Benjamin Franklin to Campus Charité Mitte and Campus Virchow-Klinikum
For calls from within Germany, please use the '030' area code for Berlin. For calls from outside Germany, please use this as well as the international dialing code for Germany, i.e. '0049 30', followed by the desired Charité telephone number.

On Campus Benjamin Franklin, taxicabs can be booked free of charge by using the dedicated and clearly marked telephone, which is situated inside the lobby at the northern end of the campus. Should you prefer to walk directly to the taxicab stand, please go to the taxicab stand on Klingenorstraße, which is accessible via the northern exit.
On Charité Campus Mitte, the taxicab stand is situated on Luisenstraße, near Robert-Koch-Platz; on Campus Virchow-Klinikum, near the exit on Seestraße. Alternatively, you may wish to use the taxi stand outside the German Heart Institute Berlin (DHZB), which is situated near the exit Augustenburger Platz.

TV and Telephone
TV, radio, telephone – no problem. All you need is a pre-paid smart card (requires deposit), which can be purchased from a pay station. At the end of your stay the pay station will reimburse any unused credit remaining on your smart card.
A pamphlet explaining the use of bedside telephones and the TV/radio system is available at each ward desk. Public telephones that accept pre-paid cards or coins are also available at each Campus. Please understand that the use of mobile phones is prohibited in many areas of the Charité. These areas are marked accordingly.
