Lost and Found

Did you lose something, or did you leave something behind when you left the hospital? Please feel free to contact the local security team or one of our Lost and Found offices.

If you find an item and would like to hand it in, you can do so any time (24/7) by contacting one of the following offices:

Campus Benjamin Franklin: Site Security, near the northern ramp (Nordrampe).

Campus Charité Mitte: Site Security at the Main Security Office (Hauptwache), which is situated at 20-21 Schumannstraße.

Campus Virchow-Klinikum: Site Security in the Teaching Building (Forum 3)

All lost property items must be collected from Room 1.0205 of the Charité Teaching Building on Campus Virchow-Klinikum (street address: 13353 Berlin, Augustenburger Platz 1; internal campus address: Forum 3).

The lost property office is open on Tuesdays between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. All lost property items must be collected by the owner or an authorized representative. You can contact the Lost and Found Office either by calling +49 30 450 573 600, or by email.

When you collect an item, you will be asked to provide proof of ownership. You can do so by providing a contract, instructions for use, a detailed description of the lost item and its contents or, in the case of keys, an identical copy. In addition to providing proof of ownership, you will also be asked for your passport or ID card. If you are unable to collect the item(s) in person, you may send an authorized representative. Please note that you will need to provide this person with a letter of authorization, and that they will also need to bring their own passport or ID card.

Lost property items will be kept at the Lost and Found Office for one month, after which they will be passed on to Berlin's Central Lost and Found Office.
