Facilities of CharitéCenter 7

The CharitéCenter 7 for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine consists of two departments housed on three campuses, Campus Benjamin Franklin, Campus Virchow-Klinikum and Campus Charité Mitte.

The Center focuses on clinical services, anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical care medicine,  palliative medicine as well as pain management.

Research at the Center concentrates on the basic causes of pain and their management as well as postoperative and posttraumatic risk reduction through preventive anesthesiologic and intensive care measures, especially complications of alcohol-related disease and severe lung failure. 

Medical students have given the Center an excellent rating for its very popular critical care and simulator courses.

Important management tasks of the Center are the overall organization of the operating room management and interdisciplinary operative emergency medicine at the Charité as well as interdisciplinary management tasks.

It should be especially noted that the Center has already met the DRG cost prerequisites for 2010.
