Dear patients,

Collective bargaining negotiations are currently taking place between the United Services Union (ver.di) and the Federation of Municipal Employers' Associations (VKA) as well as Charité Facility Management (CFM), which are also associated with warning strikes on some days. Some planned operations and treatments will have to be postponed on these days. We ask for your understanding.

You can still contact our clinics and outpatient departments and make appointments. Patient care will continue without restriction in many areas during these weeks. Your protection is our top priority and in order to avoid any danger, all medical emergencies will of course be treated.

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. All of our clinical care, research and teaching is delivered by physicians and researchers of the highest international standard. Charité is internationally renowned for its excellence in teaching and training. The Charité is the joint medical faculty of Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Charité extends over four campuses, and has over 100 different Departments and Institutes, which make up a total of 17 different CharitéCenters. Having marked its 300-year anniversary in 2010, Charité is now one of the largest employers in Berlin.
