Range of Samples

The samples we analyse include numerous types of tissue and all material obtained by neurosurgeons. This comprises especially:

• Samples from the central nervous system incl. meninges, skull and pituitary gland
• Samples from the peripheral nervous system
• Samples of skeletal muscle
• Cerebrospinal fluid
• Intervertebral discs
• Skin biopsies e.g. in cases of suspected vasculitis or small fibre neuropathy
• Colon biopsies e.g. in cases of suspected Hirschsprung's disease
• Autopsies of the brain and spinal cord
• Further samples on enquiry
