Evaluation of androgen effects of organotin compounds

| Aim: | Organotin compounds (OTC) are used as industrial catalysators and stabilizers and as industrial or agricultural biocides. OTCs induce effects in male and female reproductive organs of rodents. They also cause tumors in these organs and it is theorized that they result from endocrine disruption. The aim of this project was to investigate the effects of two organotin compounds (tributyltin and triphenyltin) on sexual development of male and female pubertal rats. |
