Dr. Gitter joined the group of Prof. Fromm in 1995. Since his "Habilitation" in March 2001 he ran his group "Barrier function, apoptosis, and restitution of epithelia". Since December 2002 he is appointed as a full professor for bioinformatics/biopysics at the Fachhochschule Jena.
