Projects

Today's medical research stems from a variety of networks that receive significant funding from external sources (third-party funding).  

In additon to 184 million Euro Berlin state subsidy for research and teaching in 2011, the Charité was able to finance additional 149 million Euro research spending via third-party funding and research grants, of which

- 38.741.368,14 million EUR are from Federal Ministries

- 41.148.890,974 million EUR are from the German Research Foundation

- 14.242.093,93 million EUR are from various foundations

- 29.416.234,98 million EUR are from Industry

-  2.610.671,56 million EUR are from Donations

- 14.197.136,62 million EUR are from the European Union

-  2.822.807,51 million EUR are from the State of Berlin

-  5.881.828,87 million EUR are from others.

More than 50 % of the Berlin state subsidy for research and teaching are distributed according to performance.
