Q. For obtaining those official documents from the local Citizens' Office can I go to any Bürgeramt or do I have to go to the one in my district?

Whereever is most convenient for you! Because of the centralized system, it is now possible to carry out your official formalities (address registration, change of address, tax-card, police clearence certificate, driving license, etc.), at any Local Citizens' Offices (Bürgeramten) throughout Berlin.

Q. How can I know the current local time in Germany?

Germany like most of Europe has a Central European Time (CET) in the winter and Central European Summer Time (CEST) in the summer.

In any case, the time in Germany can be expressed with reference to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) + 1 hour.

Virchow (CVK) / Mitte (CCM) --> Benjamin Franklin (CBF): prefix 98 + dial 4-digit number

Benjamin Franklin (CBF) --> Virchow (CVK) / Mitte (CCM): prefix 99 + dial 6-digit number

...from Charité Campus (any):

to Berlin landlines: prefix 0 + complete number

to German landlines (other than Berlin): prefix 0 + complete number with area code beginning with 0

to German cellphones: prefix 0 + 0 + Cellphone/ Mobile Phone
