Taxis can be called within a few minutes using one of the numbers below:
In the lobby of the north exit of the Campus Benjamin Franklin, you will find a special telephone for a free call to a taxi service. If you prefer, you may walk to the taxi stand at the Campus Benjamin Franklin located on Klingsorstraße, and reachable via the north exit.
At the Charité Campus Mitte, taxis wait on Luisenstraße, near the Robert-Koch-Platz, and at the Campus Virchow-Klinikum, at the exit Seestraße. Alternatively, you can also find taxis waiting near the exit Augustenburger Platz, in front of the German Heart Center Berlin (Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin).
To reach a campus operator for the Campus Benjamin Franklin, dial 8445-0 and for both the Campus Charité Mitte and Campus Virchow-Klinikum, dial 4505-0.
All campus numbers are composed of the campus telephone number plus the extension. For example, local calls to the Campus Benjamin Franklin begin with "8445", followed by a 4-digit extension (e.g. 8445 1234).
Calls to the Campi Virchow-Klinikum and Charité Mitte begin with "450", followed by a 6-digit extension (e.g. 450 123456).
Extension numbers without a campus prefix allow for direct dialing while on the campus. The following numbers link the individual campi to each other:
When calling from within Germany (but outside of Berlin), please use the area code "030". When calling from outside of Germany, please use "0049 30" and then the desired Charité number.
More information about using the telephone from the hospital bed, please see TV and Telephone as well as information sheets. Every Campus is also equipped with public telephones.
For information on how to reach a specific campus using public transportation or by car, please visit the individual web pages of the campi:
TV, radio, telephone – no problem. You only need a chip card that you can add money to and that is available for a deposit at the appropriate machines. Any unused credit can be cashed in again at these machines.
An information sheet on the use of the telephone, TV, and radio system is available at every nursing station. All buildings also have public telephones for pre-paid cards or coins. Mobile phones must be switched off in most of the Charité buildings (see signs). We appreciate your cooperation.
