
Prior to planned operations with a 10% possibility of requiring a blood transfusion, it is often advisable to store patient blood so that ,if needed, the blood can be re-transfused into the original patient, minimizing the need to use foreign blood. Your treating physician will inform you about self-blood donating during your hospital stay. The self-blood donation at the Charité Campus Mitte occurs at the Institute for Transfusions Medicine on Luisenstraße 6-8. For more information, please visit

A small flower shop is located on the ground floor of the main building, across the Cafeteria, near the Entrance West.

In the Kiosk across from the Cafeteria, on the ground floor of the main building, near the Entrance West you can purchase newspapers, magazines, books, drinks, and snacks.

Flowers can be purchased across from the main hospital bed building on Luisenstraße.
