Pastoral care

Pastoral care is available to our patients, for example, for visits in the hospital room, religious services, prayer, religious rites and unctions, and Holy Communion. In addition, our pastors can contact and locate clergy for the Jewish, Muslim, Orthodox religions and other faiths.  For a schedule of church services, please call one of the numbers below or refer to our posted announcements.

At the Campus Benjamin Franklin, the chapel is on the ground floor of the main building.
Opening hours: daily 8 am to 8 pm

Protestant pastoral care: Monday to Friday 1 pm to 2 pm
Catholic pastoral care: every Monday 12 pm to 1 pm.

At the Campus Charité Mitte, there are two rooms available for prayer, silence, and meditation, one in the main hospital bed building, second floor, room 002, and one in the internal medicine building, first floor, room 01019.

Religious services at the Campus Virchow-Klinikum take place in the chapel (Mittelallee 12).

Patient representative

Patient representatives review comments, complaints, and suggestions submitted by patients and represent the patients’ interests before the clinic. They work independently of any institutions and authorities in order to best advocate for the patients.  We value your feedback and encourage you to submit this, either in written form (see provided mailboxes) or via a personal discussion with a patient representative. The nursing staff at all three campuses will be pleased to book you an appointment for a medical Pedicure.

Prescription medicine

Other than those prescribed by our physicians, you should not take any other medications. Please discuss this with your treating physician.
