Faculty board

According to the Berlin higher education law (Berliner Hochschul[rahmen]gesetz) and the Berlin university medical law (Berliner Universitätsmedizingesetz), the Faculty Board is responsible for all matters of the medical faculty. The Dean serves a chair of the Faculty Board and [can advise but not vote]. Members are elected.

Examples of topics addressed by this forum include:

• Decrees of statutes of the faculty
• Execution and coordination of teaching, research, and exams
• Decisions on academic appointments and habilitations
• Position- and financial-planning
• Fiscal plan "Research and Teaching"
