Corporate Communications Division

The transfer of editorial information of the Charité externally and internally is one of the main tasks of Corporate Communications.

We stand for the internal and external communication of patient care, research and developments in the company.  We are the contact point for the media; for example, we provide experts on a variety of medical topics to journalists.  The press office, the event organisation and the web editorial staff are a part of this department.

The Press Office annually answers more than 25,000 telephone and written requests of all kinds.  We write press releases, conduct press conferences and offer press background discussions.  We also organize key events such as the open house day or the Charité-participation in the Long Night of Sciences. The web editorial staff is responsible for the content of the approximately 500 pages of comprehensive Internet portal of the Charité and supports many decentralised web editors and web editors in the medical centres and institutes.  We create Charité brochures and pamphlets as well as the employee's newspaper "Charité am Puls".
