University Professorship for Immune Regulation

The appointed scientist will simultaneously serve as group leader at the Dt. Rheuma-Forschungszentrum (DRFZ), from where lab space and additional support will be provided. We seek a scientist able to establish an independent research group in the field of cellular immune regulation, preferentially working on regulatory T cells and immune tolerance. Berlin offers a broad field of activities in immunology and immunotherapy, both in basic science and directed to clinical application. The candidate is expected to integrate into the respective networks, notably the Collaborative Research Centers (SFB) 650, "Cellular approaches to a suppression of unwanted immune reactions" (www.charite.de/sfb650) and SFB 633, “T cell mediated immune responses in the gastrointestinal mucosa (www.sfb633.de), and to contribute to the planned establishment of a center for innovative immunotherapies. weiter lesen …
