Since 1996, the Berlin Biomedical Exchange Office at the Charité, Medical Faculty of Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin, acts as the coordinating office for the BMEP Academic Year Program. In this function, the office is also part of a transatlantic network of BMEP alumni, faculty and members of institutions as well as the partner of Hannover Medical School in the organization of the Academic Year Program

Joachim W. Dudenhausen Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dean of Charité - Medical Faculty of Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin
who has been a long-standing partner and friend of BMEP. Prof. Dudenhausen has always been a reliable advocate for the improvement of medical education, international exchange, and worldwide cooperation between universities.
