BMBF awarded new grant

Projects The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF – Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) has awarded a grant of nearly 900.000 € for a new collaborative project in tissue engineering: „Methods for hypothermic long term culture of primary human liver cells in perfusion bioreactors“.
Partners are Biochrom AG (Dr. R.K. Schindler), Universitätsklinikum Essen, Institut für Physiologische Chemie (Dr. U. Rauen), and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Klinik für Allgemein-, Visceral- und Transplantationschirurgie (Dr. I.M. Sauer).
