Study Program: Annual Meetings

Annual Meeting 2006 in Grafenschloss-Jugendherberge Diez/Lahn

This meeting was organized and carried out together with the Mainz GRK 1044 " Entwicklungsabhängige und krankheitsinduzierte Modifikationen im Nervensystem" (http://www.neurogrk.medizin.uni-mainz.de)

The format of our meeting was that of a Dahlem conference (follow link to learn about the format). We had four groups which worked on the following topics:

    Group 1: Alzheimer´s disease

    • genetic disposition, risc factors and progression
    • molecular and cellular mechanisms
    • perspectives for therapeutic intervention
    • models and methods

Powerpoint Presentation Group 1 // Picture Group 1

    Group 2: Stroke

    • genetic disposition, risc factors and progression
    • molecular and cellular mechanisms
    • perspectives for therapeutic intervention
    • models and methods

Powerpoint Presentation Group 2 // Picture Group 2

Group 3: Molecular and cellular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity

    • presynaptic
    • postsynaptic
    • second messenger, protein phosphorylation, signal pathways, receptor trafficking, membrane turnover

Powerpoint Presentation Group 3 // Picture Group 3

    Group 4: Plasticity underlying addiction

    • ethanol, nicotin or other drugs

Powerpoint Presentation Group 4 // Picture Group 4
